Cliffside surprise
Some moments aren’t planned down to every detail—they’re felt, trusted, and allowed to unfold exactly as they’re meant to.
This session was one of those moments.
Set along the cliffs overlooking the Pacific, everything came together in a way that felt almost unreal. The ocean stretched endlessly below, the grass was a vibrant green, and the light—soft, golden, and perfectly timed—wrapped the entire scene in warmth. It was the kind of setting that doesn’t need enhancement. It simply exists, waiting for something meaningful to happen within it.
And it did
Jeremy stood there with a quiet kind of nervous energy—the kind that says this moment matters. Every detail, every second leading up to it carried weight. And then, in an instant, everything shifted.
Brianna was completely surprised.....(We all hope!!!)
What followed wasn’t directed or guided—it was real, immediate, and full of emotion. The kind of reaction you can’t recreate. She was swept off her feet in the most genuine way, fully present in a moment she didn’t see coming but instantly embraced.
What stood out most about this session was how little it needed from me.
There was no posing. No interruption. No need to manufacture anything.
They simply lived in it.
Jeremy picked her up and spun her around, caught in a rush of joy and relief all at once. Their laughter carried through the open air, and their smiles—bright, unfiltered, and constant—said everything that words couldn’t. It was the kind of happiness that moves quickly but leaves a lasting impression.
Those are the moments I look for.
Not perfection in posture, but connection in motion. Not staged emotion, but something that reveals itself naturally when two people are fully present with each other.
And then there was the ring.
A true centerpiece. Thoughtfully chosen, striking in every detail, and impossible to miss. But even as it caught the light beautifully, it never overshadowed the meaning behind it. It simply became part of the story—a symbol within a moment that was already complete.
This is why I approach sessions the way I do.
Creating space. Observing closely. Letting moments unfold without pressure.
Because when you’re comfortable—when you’re free to react, to move, to feel without interruption—that’s when the images become something more than just photographs. They become memories you can step back into.
This wasn’t just a proposal.
It was a moment of pure joy, shared on a cliffside above the Pacific, exactly as it was meant to happen.
